Anyone who has not passed the City and Guilds 2382-15 examination. This includes: electricians; electrical apprentices; trades people working towards a Part P qualification and other trades allied to the electrical industry. It is an absolute essential for anyone involved with electrical installations at any point to have a fundamental understanding of the latest 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. The purpose of the course is to help delegates gain the knowledge and familiarity they need with BS7671 to successfully pass the City and Guilds 2382-15 on-line examination. Over three days, you’ll work in a classroom environment with a small number of other students and a professional tutor to learn the key points of the IET Wiring Regulations. The tutor has many years of experience in the electrical industry, he will help you to make the most of the course using purpose-designed training material and prepare you for the examination. Our aim is to help you gain the highest possible standard of achievement in the end-of-course examination. How you will be assessed? You will need to take the 2 hour on-line examination on a computer within our bespoke training centre.

18th Edition Refresher

Course Content
If you have passed your 17th edition (C&G 2382-15) since the last amendment, then you can take this shorter 1 day 18th edition update course. Please be aware that there is no ‘short exam’ to update your 17^th Edition to 18^th Edition - you will still be required to sit the full 60 questions, 2 hour exam. If you do not hold the 17th edition with the last amendment then you will want to take our 3 day 18th edition course. Key learning points:

Changes to Part 1 Scope, object and fundamental principles.

Changes to Part 4 Protection for Safety (Chapters 41, 42 & 44, plus the new Chapter 46)

Changes to Part 5 Selection & Erection of Equipment (Chapters 52, 53, 54 & 55).

Changes to Part 6 Inspection & Testing (Chapter revisions).

Changes to Part 7 Special Installations & Other Locations (Sections 704, 708, 710, 721, 722, 730 & 753).

Changes to Appendices, including the new Appendix 17 – Energy Efficiency.

How you will be assessed? This one-day course will consist of a morning session covering the changes introduced by the 18th Edition. In the afternoon there will be practice questions followed by the full 60-question 2382-18 on-line exam. Please note that this exam covers the entirety of BS 7671: 2018 and not just the up-dates. If successful you will be fully- qualified to the Regs 18^th Edition.
