    • Charge a blended refrigerant
    • Analyse system performance to ensure efficiency (using pressure, temperature, and refrigerant state)
    • Leak test
    • Maintain ‘F Gas’ log books and records
    • Handle refrigerant safely & dispose of legally
    • Ensure systems are tight, efficient in their use of energy and meet the F Gas legal requirements

    This qualification is suitable for learners aged 19 and above. It is expected that you would have already achieved the Level 3 Award in Education and Training prior to enrolling on this course. The qualification provides an introduction to teaching and aims to meet the needs of a range of trainee teachers, such as:
    • Individuals currently teaching and training (including those who have just begun teaching and training)
    • Individuals currently working as assessors who wish to achieve a qualification that provides an introduction to teaching.
    A nationally recognised qualification. A start or progression in your career as a teacher. You will be encouraged to progress onto the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training.   How you will be assessed?

    Successful portfolio covering all learning outcomes from five mandatory units and fifteen credits from the optional units.

     

    Must participate in a delivery of learning and be observed a minimum of three times within your teaching practice.

    This qualification is suitable for learners aged 19 and above. This qualification is intended for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace (for example a workshop, classroom or other training environment). A nationally recognised qualification. You will gain an understanding of the principles and practices of assessment in order to become a fully competent assessor. You will gain a good understanding of various methods of assessment and how to best support your learners to achieve through use of assessment. How you will be assessed?

    Anyone who has not passed the City and Guilds 2382-15 examination. This includes: electricians; electrical apprentices; trades people working towards a Part P qualification and other trades allied to the electrical industry. It is an absolute essential for anyone involved with electrical installations at any point to have a fundamental understanding of the latest 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. The purpose of the course is to help delegates gain the knowledge and familiarity they need with BS7671 to successfully pass the City and Guilds 2382-15 on-line examination.   Over three days, you’ll work in a classroom environment with a small number of other students and a professional tutor to learn the key points of the IET Wiring Regulations. The tutor has many years of experience in the electrical industry, he will help you to make the most of the course using purpose-designed training material and prepare you for the examination. Our aim is to help you gain the highest possible standard of achievement in the end-of-course examination.   How you will be assessed? You will need to take the 2 hour on-line examination on a computer within our bespoke training centre.

    Understand and apply hydrocarbons, RAC System installation, testing, and servicing and maintenance techniques. This is aimed at experienced engineers who work on systems containing hydrocarbon and flammable refrigerants. To enrol on this course you must be experienced in working with refrigeration and air-conditioning systems and must hold the C&G 2079- 11, 2079-12 or equivalent qualification. Key learning points:

    If you have passed your 17th edition (C&G 2382-15) since the last amendment, then you can take this shorter 1 day 18th edition update course. Please be aware that there is no ‘short exam’ to update your 17th Edition to 18th Edition - you will still be required to sit the full 60 questions, 2 hour exam. If you do not hold the 17th edition with the last amendment then you will want to take our 3 day 18th edition course.   Key learning points:

    The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require all employers to make arrangements to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. This includes carrying out a risk assessment, appointing a suitable amount of first aiders and providing appropriate first aid training.

     

    It is also ideal for people who have a specific responsibility to provide first aid in voluntary and community activities.

    The safe isolation course will provide you with the confidence to carry out or recognise a safe isolation procedure. During the day, the course encourages candidates to learn about the legislation and practical procedures, and will help you gain a qualification from a leading training provider. This is a practical and theory-based course, and learners will be shown all aspects of the safe isolation procedure to enable them to carry out the task with confidence. Over the day, you’ll work in a classroom environment with a small number of other students and a professional tutor to learn the key points of safe isolation, using several different test instruments. On completion of the course, candidates will be able to:
    • Demonstrate an appreciation of the dangers associated with electricity
    • Comply with risk assessments, method statements, PTW systems
    • Correctly and safely test for dead in single and three-phase systems
    • Explain the requirements of the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 with reference to safe isolation
    • Have knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act and the Management of Health and Safety at Work regulations 1999 with regard to safe isolation
    How you will be assessed? You will need to complete a number of practical isolations on different test rigs.
